Charred

A provocative and playful mix of image, movement, storytelling, and improvisation.

Using original projected photographs of neighbourhoods and natural environments affected by the Fort McMurray wildfires of 2016 this multimedia, dance-theatre performance investigates the questions:
How did the fire change the land? And whose story is that to tell?

Developed December 2016 in Fort McMurray and January 2017 in Edmonton with the generous support of the Edmonton Arts Council.
